Privacy Policy for PulseVibe: Live Connections

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Profile information (name, age, photos, bio)
• Health information (HIV status, last tested date)
• Location data (neighborhood, GPS when in use)
• Messages and communications
• Device information and usage data

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Provide matching and connection features
• Improve safety through AI moderation
• Prevent fraud and catfishing
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Location Privacy

You control how your location is used for nearby discovery:

• Approximate is the default and displays a privacy-adjusted position about 250–500 meters from your location rather than your precise position.
• Neighborhood shows a broader neighborhood-level area rather than an exact pin.
• Exact is optional and shares a more precise Heat Map position only while you intentionally enable it. Temporary Exact options automatically return to Approximate after the selected time.
• Off removes you from location-based map discovery.
• Travel Mode lets you explore another area without changing your real-world location-sharing setting.

4. Messaging Privacy & Ghost Mode

PulseVibe includes messaging privacy controls, including Ghost Mode where available. Ghost Mode is a messaging privacy feature and does not by itself change your map or location-sharing setting. Location visibility is controlled separately through the location privacy options described above.

5. Health Information Protection

Your HIV status and testing information is:

• Treated as sensitive profile information
• Never shared without your consent
• Controlled entirely by you (show/hide on profile)
• Never sold to third parties

6. Data Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including authenticated access, privacy controls, moderation safeguards, and security features provided by our application infrastructure. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Third-Party Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal information. We may share information only as needed with:

• Service providers that support hosting, infrastructure, communications, analytics, AI-assisted features, safety/moderation, and payment processing
• Law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect safety and rights
• Other PulseVibe users when you choose to publish profile information, participate in discovery, communicate, connect, RSVP, or otherwise use social features

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct or delete your information
• Export your data
• Opt-out of non-essential communications
• Withdraw consent anytime

9. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide PulseVibe, satisfy legitimate operational needs, and meet legal, safety, fraud-prevention, and compliance obligations. Users may request deletion of their PulseVibe account and associated personal data through the account-deletion controls provided by PulseVibe. If you cannot access your account, email privacy@pulsevibe.org with the subject "PulseVibe Account Deletion Request." When an account deletion request is completed, associated personal data is deleted or de-identified except where limited retention is required or permitted by law.
